Social Opportunities & Active Recreation, Inc. (SOAR)

Social Opportunities & Active Recreation, Inc. (SOAR) believes that individuals with developmental disabilities should have access to enriching and engaging activities, much like their non-disabled peers.

SOAR’s primary role is to facilitate social, athletic and recreational opportunities for community members with developmental disabilities. Its core belief is: Together, We SOAR!

UPDATE June 18, 2020

We wanted to update you on the status of our program in light of COVID 19.  We feel it’s in the best interest of our participants, volunteers and staff to continue to halt programming.  We are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to send updates, as necessary.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We hope to resume activities as soon as possible.  In the meantime, we hope that all of our SOAR family is doing well and staying healthy.

SOAR seeks volunteers with a variety of skills. In addition to those that work directly with SOAR's participants, others are needed for behind the scenes operations such as technology, public relations, clerical work, fundraising, etc.

Volunteers are also needed to assist with SOAR's  Swim Program.
