Social Opportunities & Active Recreation, Inc. (SOAR)

Social Opportunities & Active Recreation, Inc. (SOAR) believes that individuals with developmental disabilities should have access to enriching and engaging activities, much like their non-disabled peers.

SOAR’s primary role is to facilitate social, athletic and recreational opportunities for community members with developmental disabilities. Its core belief is: Together, We SOAR!

UPDATE May 11, 2020

The SOAR Board of Directors has decided that it is in the best interest of members, staff and volunteers to remain CLOSED due to the COVID 19 pandemic. The SOAR Swim Camp that was scheduled for the first week of June has been cancelled, as well. We shall continue to monitor this situation and provide updates as necessary.

SOAR seeks volunteers with a variety of skills. In addition to those that work directly with SOAR's participants, others are needed for behind the scenes operations such as technology, public relations, clerical work, fundraising, etc.

Volunteers are also needed to assist with SOAR's  Swim Program.
